The old meter will be replaced with a new meter and the earlier shall be marked before it is sent to the water meter test bench.
SAJH shall inform the consumer of the date, time and venue for the water meter testing. The consumer is invited and encouraged to witness the water meter testing.
If the water meter is faulty, adjustments shall be made to the consumer account based on 3 months average consumption of the new water meter.
The deposit shall be forfeited in the event the water meter is in good condition or under-register.
